August 2011 Testimonies
The ORT http://www.ortprayer.org/ and CONECT strategy encourages two major things. First, establish 24/7 prayer over a city and secondly, form strategic councils representing all 7 spheres of society so that you can discover God’s plan and strategy to present the gospel of the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ in each sphere. The strategy begins in prayer but is followed by strategic action. Here are a few of the great reports I received this week. This is courage in action.
City of Tukwila Washington CONECTer – Jenny M. – Took the lead and mobilized her community to address gambling in her community. She’s created http://www.freetukwila.org/ to educate the public and is also serving with two others on a committee who will write rebuttal statements to be used in the up coming city election. (The Church, Government, Business, Family, and Media are being engaged right now in this process).
National CONECTer Myanmar/Burma – Rev. Kawl reports - Dear Tim, we Myanmar WMI families plan to conduct women's leadership conference at xxxxxxxxx (name removed for security) on (xxx) & (xxx) of this month. Please pray for our safety, so that there may not be any disturbance from outside, and pray the Holy Spirit empowerment and divine assistance. I will be giving a lecture on how women can be involved in the ministries and also about the ideal women in the Bible. (for context, last year 25 people that Apostle John Mark baptized were imprisoned for the gospels sake)
National CONECTer Pakistan – Rev. Shahbaz reports - I was invited in the Independence day program, which organized at Govt, level and meet the commissioner of (city name removed for security xxxxxxxxxxx). He was excited to meet me about the work, which we are doing in Pakistan as WMI. He said that after the 20th August 2011 we would meet me so he could learn more about WMI and your missionary work. I also represent the Christian community in the program and do pray and shared the word of Lord in the program. This is the first time that I was in the Govt program and they asking us to share the word of Lord other wise they asking only do prayer. Praise the Lord. We are in the program 8 pastors who belong to different churches and ministries. The children sung the national song, perform tableau, speeches and the commissioner give the best performance award in different department people at divisional level. In the afternoon all churches and ministries organized the get together on the Independence Day. The youth from Catholic Church, WMI, Church of Pakistan, Christ church will present the national song. After the lunch the program end. (remember this is predominantly a Muslim nation. Christians have been killed and imprisoned here)
Greater Spokane Washington CONECTer – Cindy D reports – In direct response to our ORT prayers an invitation to meet with Mayor Mary Verner was received and accepted. On July 25th several of us met with Mayor Verner in response to hearing her heart at National Day of Prayer. Here is some of her response from this meeting: I deeply appreciated the time you and other community leaders spent with me yesterday. And I have followed through promptly with arrangements in acceptance of your offer to involve more people of good heart in addressing our community’s greatest needs. ...I’m very excited about moving our community to the next level of greatness in God! Humbly, Mary ………… Subsequent meetings with leaders in police, fire and human service divisions are forthcoming. Praise God for answering our prayers

Olympia, WA – (September 9, 2010) Diana, a prayer leader, was called to be a “catalyst” for Thurston County. She visited Bellingham to learn what our CONECTer, Jason, was accomplishing there. She then enlisted a long time intercessor in her prayer circle. Diana began 'Pray Thurston 24/7'. She reported, “So far we have 5 churches praying one day a week 24/7 and 5 more ready to appoint a CONECTer and come on board.”
Spokane, WA – (September 11, 2011) Cindy, Spokane CONECTer, and David, (Chair of Government Council on their Transformation Task Force) reported that their efforts to form a government council are encouraged and within 8 months after the ORT Kick Off meeting, the mayor, city council, sheriff, and state representative were giving vital input, have shared concerns and are still in relationship with the council.
Angola, IN – (August 25. 2011) Peggy reported, “The mayor was so impacted by the testimonies in Operation Rolling Thunder that he wrote a letter to pastors inviting them to use ORT to pray for his city.”
Yakima, WA - (Feb. 2012) Michele Stroble writes an article for Christian Community News citing the effect of 34 churches working to mobilize 24/7 prayer on crime. A rash of homicides provoked Linda Isaella to to mobilize 24/7 prayer using ORT as a model. Crime drops 50%. Click here for the whole testimony.
India - (Mar. 2012) Pastor Vashi replies, "Well, I am really strengthened by the book given by brother Tim "Operation Rolling Thunder." I am reading it over and over again because this book really relates to the burden which I had for my church and our people. This is perfectly God inspired book to me personally and I hope must be to so many."
