What is Operation Rolling Thunder or ORT?

_ ORT is a proven strategy that unites kingdom minded Christian leaders from all seven spheres of society with churches while establishing 24/7 prayer over a city, county, or state.  (Click here to access the Strategy page with a 10 min. overview.)  It harnesses the momentum from the National Day of Prayer and Global Day of Prayer events to launch 24/7 prayer 365 days a year in a simple powerful strategy through city/regional teamwork among local churches.  As of 2011, leaders in 34 nations have utilized ORT to mobilize their cities and regions in as little as one month.  (Click here for the Results page with numerous signs and video testimonies)

How did Operation Rolling Thunder get its name?

_ The strategy is based on Psalm 18:6-14.  The Lord designed and named this strategy and marked it with His sign on December 14, 2004 in the presence of 3 witnesses; Kathie Cassady (National Area Leader for National Day of Prayer), Rev. Dr. Father John Roddam (rector at St. Lukes), and Dr. Flo Ellers (1st nations minister).  The complete testimony is found in the book Operation Rolling Thunder click here.  See page 109.

Is there any relationship to the bombing campaign from Vietnam?

NO!

Is the ORT strategy based upon a biblical pattern found in scripture?

_ Yes!  It follows the pattern King David used when he began to build the kingdom of Israel.  It gathers leaders together as David did at Hebron and then empowers them to establish 24/7 prayer in a city as he did in the Tabernacle of David on Mount Zion in the City of David.

Why do you use the term apostles, prophets or apostolic and prophetic?

_ Today the term apostle, modeled on ancient leaders and the examples of apostles found in scripture, describes a regional strategic leader.  Modern-day prophets, people who are gifted in hearing from the Lord, work in tandem with apostles who have a gift of wisdom, revelation and strategy.  These gifts are also catalysts. The short video below will provide more insight into how the Lord used these two functions in establishing ORT. To learn more see Developing Apostolic Strategy or get the DVD's on Strategic Leadership by clicking here.

Is it true that God has marked this message/strategy with supernatural signs?  If so, what kind of signs?

Since its inception God has used supernatural signs and wonders to mark many of the ORT prayer and mobilization events.   The book Operation Rolling Thunder click here provides the scriptural basis and documents over 30+ signs and wonders while the Operation Rolling Thunder Kit has a DVD click here and Power Points that show some of the supernatural signs caught on camera.  There have also been measurable results (Click here to access the Results page with pictures and a number of videos):
  1. Increase in decisions for Christ
Church plants & church growth in a county
    Spontaneous waterbaptisms
    Decreasing crime (9 cities)
    Local economies improved
    Abortions declining
    Adoptions increasing
Reconciliation between churches, ministers, 1st Nations, and various ethinic communities

How do I mobilize my church and city or, where do I start?

_First, educate yourself.  The Operation Rolling Thunder II (ORT II) book and the Operation Rolling Thunder Kit (ORT Kit) will equip you.  (Click here for short video overviews and to order these tools)

Second, host an Operation Rolling Thunder Kick Off.  This is a 1.5 day event that imparts our proven strategy:  the vision, the how to's, and the 7 councils.  It empowers leaders to launch people who are equipped to mobilize their city/region.  Invite Tim to present his seminar titled "How to Form a Transformation Task Force."  Contact Tim Taylor find out more about this.  Click here.

If you can't have Tim in, host the Kick Off yourself by using the tools mentioned above.  Tim has provided you with everything he uses to host a Kick Off.

Is it true that this strategy is uniting churches from all different denominations, establishing 24/7 prayer in cities?

Yes!  We have from Charismatic to Catholic and from Presbyterian to Pentecostal working with is communities around the world.  Those led to use ORT see remarkable results as congregation joins with congregation working together to lift up a powerful canopy of prayer over their communities.  It joins together everyone passionate about transforming their community through the presentation of the gospel of the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Can I change the name of Operation Rolling Thunder?

What is a Transformation Task Force

_ "Transformation" is the "task."  Leaders, combined with churches participating in the 24/7 prayer strategy, make up the "force."  We have found that the most effective approach is to lift up 24/7 prayer, while gathering the elders at the gates of a city.  The elders are the leaders and the gates represent their authority and responsibility.  The TTF develops the very best prayer and action strategies to transform communities.

What are the 7 Spheres of Society?

_ There are 7 spheres of society (Church/religion, government, family, business, media/arts, education, & healthcare).  Some refer to these as the 7 mountains.  We believe that God has called leaders with strategic gifts to operate in each of these spheres, giving them wisdom as to how to effect transformation.  With this in mind, we use ORT to help them form councils based upon Prov. 24:3-6.

What is CONECT?

_ CONECT is an acronym for the Christian Outreach Network Establishing City-wide Teamwork. It is a common communication protocol that serves the leadership of a local church or city in building the wall of prayer, setting a watch, establishing a strategic communication center for their leadership team (Transformation Task Force) and managing the spiritual intelligence generated through prayer.  This empowers leaders to build their network while connecting with other kingdom minded churches, ministries, cities and regions.

What is a CONECTer.

_ A CONECTer is someone recognized as both a prayer leader and as a networker.  They differ from a prayer coordinator because, in addition to overseeing ORT prayer, they have a passion and a gift to connect the body of Christ.  They serve in a role similar to Hannaniah’s, captain of the citadel under Nehemiah, facilitating corporate teamwork and unity.  These are leaders in authority, and also under authority.  Designated local leaders authorize and send CONECTers to mobilize the body of Christ using the ORT strategy.  For a 2.5 min overview of a CONECTer click here.

How do ORT and CONECT serve the local church?

_ ORT and CONECT are strategies to help local churches transform their communities.  The key to long term success is the church producing disciples and sending them into society.  Our goal is to aid the growth of local congregations and the church in a city.  ORT develops effective prayer and action strategies locally.  CONECT helps local churches to grow both their congregations and their network of relationships.  Click here for a pastors testimony created in 2014.
