Operation Rolling Thunder - Prayer Strategy

Psalm 24:1-9

Operation Rolling Thunder (ORT) provides just that!  ORT is a 24/7 prayer transformation strategy that unites and mobilizes the city-wide body of Christ.  Leaders and those passionate about transforming their communities, gather from the 7 spheres of society to develop local targets for prayer and action while using a simple yet effective tactic.  Churches - Presbyterian to Pentecostal and from Charismatic to Catholic - unite as one body with a passion to see the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ presented in power.  As congregations strategically align with the National and Global Days of Prayer, power dramatically increases.  But ORT does not stop there.  It harnesses the momentum from these events and expands it into a long term transformational campaign.     

On May 23, 2012 I recorded my conference call with our CONECTers from around the US.  They testified about the amazing things they had seen Christ do through them such as:

_ Olympia, WA – (September 9, 2010) Diana, a prayer leader, was called to be a “catalyst” for Thurston County.  She visited Bellingham to learn what our CONECTer, Jason, was accomplishing there.  She then enlisted a long time intercessor in her prayer circle.  Diana began 'Pray Thurston 24/7'.  She reported, “So far we have 5 churches praying one day a week 24/7 and 5 more ready to appoint a CONECTer and come on board.”

Spokane, WA – (September 11, 2011) Cindy, Spokane CONECTer, and David, (Chair of Government Council on their Transformation Task Force) reported that their efforts to form a government council were completed within 8 months after the ORT Kick Off meeting.  The mayor, city council, sheriff, and state representative are members of the council.

Angola, IN – (August 25. 2011) Peggy reported, “The mayor was so impacted by the testimonies in Operation Rolling Thunder that he wrote a letter to pastors inviting them to use ORT to pray for his city.”

Yakima, WA - (Feb. 2012) Michele Stroble writes an article for Christian Community News citing the effect of 34 churches working to mobilize 24/7 prayer on crime.  A rash of homicides provoked Linda Isaella to to mobilize 24/7 prayer using ORT as a model.  Crime drops 50%.  Click here for the whole testimony.
